Anacortes Sketchers in Arizona

We really never stop sketching!  Lots of us love travel sketching when we're on the road, and this month there was a wonderful reunion of 3 Anacortes Sketchers one afternoon in Tucson's spectacular Sabino Canyon.

Mari was on vacation and joined Greg and Kate who both sketch with us in Summer months here in Anacortes.  Different palettes for this meet-up but a reunion of great Anacortes sketching friends.

Still Life Sketching at Catherine's

Big thanks to Catherine for hosting our sketching gathering today.  How fun it was with the sun streaming in her big windows plus she'd set up several pretty still life scenes to give us lots to sketch.  

Sunny Sketching in Early March

We always know we'll enjoy sketching at Christianson's Nursery - especially during the Winter when we can sketch inside one of the greenhouses.  However this week we had a big bonus - sun and warmth so we could sketch outside by the glorious selection of Helebores - on March 2!  

 

Sketching at the Museum

Thanks to the Skagit County Historical Museum for letting us sketch inside today.  As you can see, some of us sketched parts of the current special exhibit, "Skagit on the Half Shell:  History of the Sellfish Industry" and others took advantage of the museum's gorgeous view out into the valley.

Cozy Sketching at Carolyn’s

It’s not always easy to find inside spots for 10-12 sketchers to gather inside in the Winter for sketching. However, Carolyn’s lovely home is always a spot we can enjoy and find fun things to sketch.  It made today a very lovely and cozy sketching day.  Thanks Carolyn!

We didn't get much sketching done, but we sure had fun enjoying Aleli's art-filled home and celebrating our love of sketching together.  Thanks Aleli for hosting our Valentine party - complete with a 💖tree!
